Artists for Nature supports Save Philippine Seas’ Pawikan Watchers program
QUEZON CITY (PHILIPPINES). Artists for Nature is a group of talented Filipino artists spearheads this special event entitled “EndDanger”. EndDanger is an art exhibit and music fest fundraising campaign to increase the awareness of every Filipino in the growing problem of animal endangerment and encourages the community to get involved in the protection of the country’s marine environment. These groups of artists and performers aim to raise funds particularly for the “Save Philippine Seas’ Pawikan Watchers Program” through Save Philippine Seas (SPS)—an independent movement that fights abuse of the aquatic resources in the country.
EndDanger is showcasing mixed media artworks from the members of Artists for Nature, i
ncluding live performances from Flying Ipis and other music bands. The event is also supported by Numa the Organic & Eco Baby Store and Ministry of Mushrooms, in cooperation with WhenInManila.com, Clean Up Philippines, Eco-Sys Foundation, Green Fins, Society for Sustainable Tourism and Development, Inc., Sea News Network, Butanding Network, UP Green League and Earth UST.
The art exhibit runs from 19 January 2012 until February 8, 2013 at the Conspiracy Garden Café which is located at 59 Visayas Avenue, Project 6, Quezon City. can you help the pawikans at Kayreyna, Lian, Batangas. the area has been declared protected area and instead of protecting the pawikans, they planted more mangroves along the beach. henceforth, blocking the pawikans to come a shore…. (from a concerned citizen)
