Sea of clouds at Mt Pulag (Benguet)

THE SECOND HIGHEST MOUNTAIN in the Philippines, Mt Pulag is a popular summer destination nowadays, not only for mountain climbers but for nature’s lovers. With an affordable packaged deal I was able to join my officemates and discovered this natural park in the northern tip of the country.

With long hours of trips (bus, jeepneys) and treks (almost 4.5 hours), I witnessed one of the magical scenes in Mt Pulag – maybe only in this mountain – the sea of clouds at the early hours of the morning as the sun rises in the horizon. Reaching the summit is the ultimate finale of the climb as my eyes saw the calmness of the clouds on top of Mt Pulag. As the cold breeze touches my face, indeed standing tall on top of the summit is having the feeling to be “free” in the presence of God’s creation.
