CineFilipino Film Festival: showcasing Filipino films from 18-24 Sep 2013

cinefilipinoTHIS IS THE FIRST YEAR OF CINEFILIPINO as an independent film festival showcasing the eight full-length film productions. The event is sponsored by PLDT-Smart Foundation, MediaQuest, Studio 5 and Unitel Entertainment.  Aside from these top-8 finalists, there are also 10 short films to be shown in selected theaters in Manila:  MegaWorld Lifestyle Malls, Newport Cinemas,  Lucky Chinatown Cinemas, Gateway Cinemas, and Shang-rila Cinemas.

The eight full-length films are as follows:  PUTI by Miguel ‘Mike’ Alcazaren, MGA ALAALA NG TAG-ULAN by Ato Bautista, THE GUERILLA IS A POET by Sari Raissa Dalena and Kiri Dalena, TANG HULING CHA-CHA NI ANITA by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, THE MUSES by Janice Perez, ANG KWENTO NI MABUTI by Ramon ‘Mes’ De Guzman, ANG TURKEY MAN AY PABO RIN by Randolph Longjas, and BINGOLERAS by Byron ‘Ron’ Bryant.

For the ten short films include the following: MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS by Bor Ocampo, ONANG by JE Tiglao, WORLD IPIS by Kristine Joyce P. Barrameda and Joana Carla Ubaldo, LIGAW / STRAY LOVE by Pamela Ll. Reyes, ALKANSIYA by Joan Robie D. Cajes, KATHANG ISIP/ FICTION by Jo Paulo Madarang, PRINCESS URDUJA by Tiffanie M. Ang, SANGANDAAN by Jose Ibarra E. Guballa and Bienvenido Ferrer III, LOGARITMO by Kimberly M. Ocariza, and LAST CALL by Khalil Joseph S. Bañares.
