Vigan (Philippines): Vote for New7Wonders Cities

This former Ciudad Fernandina  was founded during the colonization of Spain in the Philippines.  The country is continuously doing a a great job in the conservation of the area. In 2012,  the World Heritage Center has awarded Vigan for “Best Practice in World Heritage Site Management” during the  World Heritage Convention held  in Kyoto, Japan.    Through the nomination of the Philippine United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Commission, Vigan’s heritage conservation program prevailed over 28 entries of  best conservation practices worldwide. - See more at: http://news.pia.gov.ph/index.php?article=371405741623#sthash.HeDVYf6f.dpuf
