I am now working in one of the biggest American consulting firms in Asia with an office at Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.

Im a registered Civil Engineer, with postgrad degrees in Environmental Engineering and Urban Planning. I love to swim, read pocket books, watch films, play badminton, own a “magic sing” microphone for karaoke, including several electronic gadgets for photography and blogging!

All the best,

… this is my life…my story…

I am fortunate to visit the following countries (towns and cities) in the past 18 years when Thailand (Pathumtani area, Ayutthaya, Rangsit, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Koh Chang, Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Koh Samet and some areas in the countryside) was my first residence abroad. I also visited Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Hong Kong, Japan (Nagoya, Tokyo), New Zealand (Auckland and nearby coastline areas). Not to forget, I already visited 60% of the 7,107 islands in my home country, The Philippines including my hometown Sibuyan Island (Romblon).

In Britain, I had the chance to explore these places: England (Newcastle, London, Leeds, Kettering, Luton, Birmingham, York, Blackpool, Manchester), and Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow). In the Irish region and the rest of the European cities, it is amazing to visit these places: Republic of Ireland (Dublin, Dundalk, Drogheda, Donegall, Sligo, Co. Mayo), Belfast and other boroughs in Northern Ireland.

Other countries include: France (Paris), Italy (Rome, Florence), Canada (Toronto, Missisuaga, Quebec, Ottawa); Finland (Helsinki), Sweden (Stockholm), Spain (Madrid, Asturias region). I lived in Down Under – Australia for two years and explored these beautiful towns: Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Toowomba, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast.

Finally, in several occassions, I had my American dreams: Atlanta, Seattle, New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, New Jersey, San Diego, Los Angeles, North Carolina, San Jose, San Bernardino, Berkeley, Chicago, other parts of California like Menniffe.

My future destinations in 2009/2011/2012 include: New York, Dubai, Switzerland, Bahamas Island, Florida, Las Vegas, Africa (Ghana), Isle of Man (UK), Australia, Kenya, Thailand, China (Beijing) and the southern part of the Republic of Ireland. There might be changes on these itineraries in the later part of the year but watch out for my reviews on these places in the near future. Travelling is my way of living and it is part of my job and study opportunities abroad.

Finally, I am a registered Philippine Civil Engineer, Urban Planner, Environmental Planner, Parttime Lecturer/Tutor, love to swim and free diving, sing and dance, plays badminton, collects beermats (400+ pieces) and posters, write reviews in online consumer sites, has passion in painting, sketching and photography. To date, I have collected more than 300 pocket books from interesting authors like Harlan Coben, James Patterson. Jeffrey Archer, Dan Brown, Stephen King, etc., including travel books and mags during the past 4 years!

Thanks God I'm Filipino (TGIF)

  1. By the way, if you want to follow me at Twitter, just search my name as “islandeer”… give me a shout!

  2. you really have a great and enjoy life!

  3. Seems that we’re having similar interest. Badminton is my sports too though I’ve been trying basketball lately though I am still conscious in playing with a team. I also got a collection of pocketbooks though not that much because I only have Edgar Allan Poe (The Raven), The Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown), The Count of Monte Cristo (Alexander Dumas), Are You Afraid of the Dark? (Sydney Sheldon) and others bought from 2nd hand bookshops… Trekking the planet is one of my ambitions.

The only difference we have is that, you’ve been the way while I’m still on the way… Nice blog!

Indeed, you’re an achiever! Continue to enjoy life and inspire others!

    God bless you!

    • Hi Phil, Thank you so much for such inspirational comment about my achievement. Comments like this somehow gives me “goose bumps” in a good sense – giving me more motivation to write, read and travel around the world. I know this is not a free world and my hobbies and interests share almost 70 percent of my spendings! On the other hand, the experiences that I have gained from moving around the globe is “PRICELESS” and even the Queen of Britain could not afford to buy it!

  4. taga sibuyan ka pala?
ang nanay ko ay tubong romblon…
been there (romblon, sibuyan & tablas) when i was still in college…
we spent our 30 days vacation hopping in those 3 islands of romblon..
naka kalat na kasi ang pamilya ng mga pinsan ko dun…

  5. thanks for visiting me. honestly, you are living my dream life 🙂 you have it going good.

kudos on your blog. you have a truly relevant nook here…

  6. Wow, you’ve been to a lot of places..I hope I can cover at least 30% of the places you’ve visited. Traveling gives you the perspective that books, television or even Internet cannot match.

Nice blog you got here..keep it up!

  7. there is really more to you that meets the eye… your passion for life and living the moment is truly exhilarating; thus i can say that being a Sagittarian myself I know how it feels to go out and explore… I still am not as adventurous as you though, I keep my travels limited (for now) within my imagination..BOOKS!… my goodness I have never met someone I can say as obsessed as me and they said that BOOK LOVERS dont know how to have fun… your totally the opposite and your not afraid to share it with others. Apart from that, you know what you have just inspired the writer in Me, something that I havent done for years now. I think I might keep note of my own adventures no matter how small. I felt happy reading your adventures, I might find a reason to smile someday reading my own. I am glad I got to meet you personally. You have a very nice aura and anyone around you feels relaxed and happy. Thanks for sharing your inspiring life stories to us. God bless and keep you safe always.
