2010 Pinoy Expats Blog Awardees(PEBA) revealed
RUNNING IN ITS 4th YEAR, the Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog Awards (PEBA) announced the top blogs written by our kababayan abroad. The awarding ceremonies held in Manila, Philippines last December 16, 2010, the organiser chose 10 winners from the 37 nominees, including 10 local blogs that supported this annual competition.
In 2009, my blogsite was one of the nominees from UK/Europe region, but unfortunately I did not win! This year, I was encouraged to join but I declined to participate. Maybe if I took advantage of it considering that there was no entry from UK/Europe, Im sure I will get the Outstanding Blog in UK/Europe… just kidding! Seriously, PEBA did a wonderful job in identifying the candidates and majority of them have interesting entries and overall blog themes in Filipino language.
Check it out (by clicking the image/logo) these Pinoys who really stand-out from the rest of the bloggers around the world. It only shows that blogging really plays an important role in our way of connecting people, especially with our family and friends back in the Philippines. The theme of this year’s competition is “Strengthening the OFW Families: Stronger Homes for a Stronger Nation.”

I forgot to mention that I watched the coverage of the program via live streaming. Thanks PEBA for bringing this annual event closer to us as if we were there in front of the stage as the awarding ceremony unfold before our eyes. The live streaming also allowed us to chat with the rest of Pinoys worldwide and of course with the organizer’s representative. The sound was clear but the screen was bit blurry and dark, maybe because the location of the video camera was bit far from the stage.
My world is getting smaller every day

Ive read it from your blogsite that you plan to attend. My aunt and a cousin attended in 2009, just hoping that I will be picked in the top 10… Not lucky enough but until now Im still blogging… more inspired than those who were chosen. Happy new year Jigs!
